2020-2024 Elected Officials will take office on Monday, November 2, 2020 @ 6:00 p.m. in the Council's Chambers at 123 E. Jefferson St. during the Organizational Meeting of the City of Marion, Al.

Our Christmas Parade and Christmas on the Square Event will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2020 beginning at 2:00 p.m. Parade participation and vendor sign up for the Square are available in the City Hall.

The City of Marion Mayor's Office, the Marion Volunteer Fire Department, and the Marion Police Department will be hosting a drive-thru candy, hot dog, & popcorn giveaway for Halloween.

Our Little Miss Marion Pageant will be held each year in November.


Dates for the 2020 Little Miss Marion Pageant have been canceled due to COVID-19. 

City of Marion will host its council's orientation on Thursday, October 22, 2020. The local dialogue/training will be held in the Council's Chambers located at 123 E. Jefferson St.

Marion, AL 36756 as a networking opportunity and training for newly elected officials who will take office on Monday, November 2, 2020.

* Marion-Perry County Library has storytime for children ages 10 and under every Wednesday  from 10-11 a.m.


* The Perry County Commission meets at 6 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. Public comments are held from 5:00 p.m. to 6 p.m.


* The Marion City Council meets on the first and third Monday of each Month immediately following Public Comments at 6:00 p.m. in the Council's Chambers at the Marion City Hall. (Public Comments begin at 6:00 p.m.) Special Call meetings and meetings that fall on the listed Monday's are posted within a 24-48 period to given the public access to all city meetings. In the wake of COVID-19 ALL city meetings are also available virtually via Zoom. Access information is listed below and under the governing body tab.
